Given any indication of the names of the magazines, if you have a preference to either powder skiing and freestyle skiing, that should put you in the right lane.
That being said, you really do get with what you pay for with ski mags. I'd go with the nod to Powder for overall quality.
If you have the chance check out The Ski Journal. Some phenomenal work, albeit a pricier one.
i like powder magazine but i've only ever read freeskier stuff on their website cos i'm from the uk. Powder is really well written though and has some amazing photography.
powder is a real magazine, amazing to read, inspiring, can't put it down, best thing to read since harry potter, freeskier is unedited, poorly written, just straight toilet paper
I agree because Powder mag contain relevant, abundant and interesting articles of almost everything about skiing and it's community. Some will choose Freeskier for the content more axed on freestyle skiing than Powder. I also think that powder contain such great photos. Adding to this , I found that the issues of this year of freeskier were missing content.
Tried to subscribe to freeskier haven't been getting it for a couple years but for quite a while they have not been taking subscriptions? So now I get powder more than happy with it
Also, with Mike Rogge being an editor over at Powder these days, they are poised to rival ANY ski publication in terms of freeski reporting, editorializing, etc.
Ive had an sbs skier subscription for awhile, and buy powders usually. Recently I got a freeskier and was pretty dissapointed. Powder is the best one I think though.
I love freeskiers photos, and prefer the articles in powder, but i would prefer both, its not like its real expensive. plus for the past five years i have gotten freeskier for free so that helps
Powder is hands down the best magazine about winter sports. You have no idea the excitement i recieve when i see that ish in the mail. Great photos too.
