How is the vert and has anyody ever been there before? Where do you stay I heard in the lodge but it is first come first serve.

my friends were just there. its a big mountain. the only place to stay is the Chateau Atco. its a couple of portables put together. total shit hole but only $30 a night

I jsut heard that they got 119cms in the last 6 days so tommorrow we will head up there from Whistler 12hours or so should do it.

I don't know who would call powder king a "big hill" but it's decent sized. Ice queen when the conditions are crappy, but when the snow is good, it really does earn the name Powder King.

yeah man i used to live near there, and well the snow is amazing, like no where else. But its not really that steep, and if you're on a powder day well your perception of what used to call powder will change. There allot more snowmobilers there than skiers/ boarders and the manager/owner is a penis. Nice hill though if the runs were a little longer and a little steeper, well it would be the place to be.
 
and by the way the lodge is a piece of shit!!!! do not stay there, and even though its first come first serve i have yet to see the day its all booked. You can get a hotel in a town called Mackenzie which is 45 minutes away. Or there are cabins to rent but there pritty pricy. There a place which is a 5 minute drive from the hill which is called Azuetta lake lodge and you can run an A frame for 100 bucks, which isnt bad if you split it with some buddies, but it get pritty boring out there, bring alcohol or something
