Powder Highway

Guys,

Been thinking about a powder highway trip with a couple buddies for an upcoming winter and were starting to try to pull some ideas together and plan a route through the mountains. Basically, I just want to hear stories and suggestions from anyone who has been up there driving between mountains, places that we must go, places to skip etc...

Really just want to hear anything you've got for us.

Thanks

where are you starting from?

i live in WA and went from here to nelson and skied red, whitewater, then up to naksup for some sled touring then revy and back. pretty fucking awesome trip. road conditions can be shit, make sure to bring snacks as gas stations and food can be few and far between.

why did you bump this? the "powder highway" is essentially a loop so you can do it clockwise or counter. Golden (Kicking Horse), Fernie, Nelson (Whitewater), Rossland (Red), Revelstoke. Don't bother with Kimberley and Panorama. Pay attention to snow reports and weather forecasts to see who is getting snow and that about covers it for what you were asking.
