Powder Bindings and daymakers

So, I'm moving to Steamboat Springs CO and I'm buying the Atomic Bentchetlers. I'm just curious about what bindings to use for Powder and which ones work better with daymakers? Is the movable heel on Pivots an issue when putting the skis on in soft stuff and would griffons be better for use with the daymakers?

Any binding works in powder. I hear that you do sometimes have to pull the heel up when stepping into pivots in deep snow. If you're going to be touring a good amount, it may be best to get a frame at binding. Otherwise it seems like Daymakers work with most bindings.

Pretty much any binding that is DIN certified will work with our Adapters. I recommend the lightest downhill ski binding, and safest. Tyrolia attack 16 or 13 is a good binding, Marker Jesters and griffons, and the pivot also works fine.

Just get a frame AT binding (but not the trackers/guardians) you won't regret it especially with a ski like the bentchetler

While there is no such thing as a powder specific binding, I have found that pivot's can be a pain in pow in sticky snow if your boot heel gets clumped up. I much prefer the confidence and snappiness of clicking into my tyrolias. And i'm not a big fan of frame bindings compared to the daymakers, other than the cost of having to buy a pair of alpine bindings and the adapters. Why sacrifice on snow performance when the alternative is something that is clunky, heavy, adds complexity, and sacrifices durability.

ah, another person talking about how hard pivots are to get into in pow. They really aren't hard at all if you have half a brain haha never understand why people say that.
