Powder 8?

I was watching this documentary about heliskiing on Discovery HD theater and there was a segment that had a powder 8 competition in it. This was the first time I had ever heard of powder 8. Its goes like this: two teams of two skiers go down the mountain in untouched snow and try to make perfect 8s with their turns. Whichever team finishes first and has the best looking 8s wins.

Anyone else ever hear of this?

i have heard of this and so have many others. the reason for the flame throwing is it is like asking if any one has heard of a contest where you ski down a hill and turn around red and blue poles and the fastest time wins

I was at Waterville last year (dopest jump line ever) and I saw a man and his wife (I'm assuming it was his wife) synchronized skiing. They were like spinning around eachother on little snowblade-like things but not twin tipped, and it was one of the strangest things I have ever seen. props to them though they were intense, but I just found it ridiculous. do a lot of people do that stuff?!
