Hey guys, i'm going to buy pow skis but i haven't bought those type of skis before so i wanted to ask for an advice. How long should they be, i'm 188 cm and i found a pretty good offer about coreupt slasher 179, will that be too short ? And approximetely what's my optimal length for pow skis ? Thanks

You will probably want a bit bigger then yes. Size will ultimately depen upon the ski it's self. You may find a big rocker ski has the float you need in the mid 180's but if you prefer to charge you may like the same skis 190+.

Really when buying a ski like this I would really demo. There are ao many variations that finding on you wi like blindly is pretty tough. Demoing pow skis can be hard unless you are lucky an can demo on a pow day but even if there is little to no fresh you will still have an idea of how t skis will handle out of the deep stuff.

Just buy some old 192 Bent Chetlers... Can't go wrong with them. Not that I'm saying they are necessarily the best ski for you... You just can't go wrong with them because they are awesome.

Where are you going to be skiing? Are you going to be skiing trees, bowls? Do you want a stiffer pow ski something that'll charge through fresh, leftover chop, and then some? Do you want some playfulness out of this ski in terms of spinning and flipping or dropping some drops? Are you going to be skiing switch or landing switch at all? What's your price range? What type of skier do you consider being, I/II/III/III+? Those are just some questions that'll help us, help you. There's more questions like flex and underfoot, mount position that won't hurt knowing either. There's a ski out there with your name on it though.

yes all of that info would really help. but check out the 4frnt wrenegades

As mentioned above really depends on the type of skiing, size wise. Skiing mostly tight trees, go shorter. Skiing mostly wide open bowls at high speeds, definitely going to want to go longer.

your're defintely going to need to go at a 192ish ski, but thats just length, I have no idea what you plan on doing so that makes it hard.
