169 bents? not exactly crud killers, but better than ep pros.

169 seths would probably be a little better.

jj's i think would get pushed around a lot,

although im from washington and i ride EP Pros too and love them he did say he wants a ski to really rip up crud/heavy snow well, which i have no problem with on my EP's, however he is also like half my size, and EP pros only come in a 185, which is a pretty big ski for someone who is 5'4" 130 pounds, and considering it is also a very soft ski and he'd be bouncing around like none other.
I'd suggest a 169 or 179 hellbent at biggest, or yes, maybe the JJ. I don't know too many of them all i know is if I were you i would not go with the EP, its a sweet ski just really soft and big for you.

175cm JJ, i have them mount whit jester and its so light! I didnt ski them in pow cause im from east coast, but i try tehm in park and on grommers. Im goining to Utah for 1 week monday so ill make a little review after this

because of the rocker they ski short. and i would recommend them, got live life 2's (basically the same ski) and they seem perfect for you. charge so hard in all conditions.

take a look at the 174 salomon czar 620mm rocker in the tip so plenty of float and still a pretty stiff ski to kill it in the crud and there a really fun ski to mess around on cause there still pretty light

would the 179 surface one lifes be alright or way to be for me? (5'4" 130) and ill probably grow over summer

For the next few weeks, I'll be recommending the CRJ to anyone who asks, irrespective of specifics.

Get CRJs

so i have kinda narrowed it down to-JJ's 175-CRJ 172-One LIfe's 179 what do you guys think? oh and maybe the 171 clayors

i would look into the s7, a little more directional but bust through crud real well and float good too.. looking forward to seeing next years stuff one of them looks like thisyears but more semetrical

So I have 175 jj and 179 one lifes. I love them both and I ski alpental so I know what the snow is like. Today I skied my one lifes up there in heavy pow and They were awesome. I love both my jjs and one lifes. One lifes are pretty stiff but they dont seem too stiff. Both do great in crud and crappy snow so I would say you can't go wrong with either. BTW I am about the same size as you.

one lifes!! i haven't skied any of the other ski's but out of all the skis that i have used in my life (skied 6 different ones) they are my favorite by a long shot, in any conditions i would use them. ridiculous poppy and playful yet stiff enough and the way they made the rocker 3 staged it charges hard. perfect one ski quiver, i definitely recommend them.

i have not skied any other kind of rocker, this is my first ski with rocker so i dont know how it compares to any other. i like how the rocker works though, it is perfect for buttering and for ollieing and nollieing things. it is amazing in powder also, i have my skis center mounted and they ski very well. i have heard that compared to continuous rocker, the 3 stage has more points of contact with the snow and that helps it ski more normally on groomers. check this site out,

http://www.surfaceskis.com/gear/threestagerocker/index.html

that should describe the rocker pretty well.

I can't find these anywhere online. are they completely sold out? Can anyone recomend a site? Same deal with JJ's in 185.

I'm looking for a ski to replace my SFB's that broke and might stick with the same, but I'm curious about rocker. I have a pair of carvers and also park skis, so I want a pair of true powder boards, probably with a similar flex to my bacons. Surface new life or one life, Atomic Bentchetler, and 4frnt CRJ (although the turn radius seems too big for the east) are my other options. 6', 160 lbs, any thoughts?

if i gona use this ski for everything like, cliffs/pow/tree skiing etc. what size of he ski do you think i should keep it between, like 170-175?

I'd even go a bit longer, anything up to 181 in ON3P sizing, 185 in most others. Its not a ton more ski to control, and the rocker that you're probably going to get in a ski like that will make it feel like a shorter ski when on edge. I'm 5'10", skiing a 191 Caylor this season.

line prophet 100 or something wider prophet 130, i havnt had a chance to ski these things but ive read alot of reviews and looked into them myself, and im just a tiny bit bigger than you

I have the JJ in 175 cm and the kung fujas (09/10) in 169cm, i would say go for the JJ, they are good everywhere. The kung fujas are good too. but in deep pow i got some tip dive, but more faceshot. Maybe next year Sfb will be a good choice. Onep make some dope ski, take a look in them!
