POV! Help

my parents need more xmas ideas from me and im looking preferably a pov camera but if u know of anything else cool and around the 200 400 range post it. my parents are looking to buy me the hd go pro one is their any other good ones besides the vio one. plus k
 
Vholdr ContourHD 1080p is within that price range if you shop around and to be honest I hugely prefer that style of camera over the GoPro. I dunno how much it influences your decision but I'm sure I would be forever hitting the GoPro on branches and stuff, plus it just looks kinda goofy to me.
 
Vholdr has definately smoother design and looks coolerIt even hhas laser sights ! -Awesome !!
but the GoPro HD has much better aiming possibilities, mounts, arms, etcThe GoPro Is waterproof and virtually bombproofThe GoPro has (imho) a better lensThe GoPro has different picture modes including picture every 2,5,10,30, 60 sec so you can make ridiculous timelapse pictures with the GoPro...It shoots 4MP (? not sure, but the quality is great !!) pictures
Other things i like about the GoPro but can't compare with the Vholdr:The GoPro hd has amazing battery life, it has different angle lenses depending on what resolution you choose (almost 180° to 120° in full HD)(from footage on youtube and others:) The GoPro shoots more stable images and has less trouble with shooting continuous smooth footage when exposed to vibrations and shocks...

i said the GoPro is waterproof (-60m)
and yes, the Vholdr is only water resistant...
