And what do you mean the battery isn't removable? They are removable in ipods, it just takes skills or someone with brains. You can buy batteries for my ghetto 3rd gen ipod at the books store here.
I thought it had picture messaging? I mean if you can email from it and it has a camera.....i think you can send a picture in your emial or message cuz it has the iChat shit too.
I'd imagine flash and java would be enabled as it is opened to third party developers.

It has ichat for instant messaging, and normal text messages set up as a sort of msm service ( my friends palm trio has this too)
There has to be a way to get songs as ringtones...but i know why they didn't allow it straight up, cuz its an ipod and there are all sorts of stupid rights as to just mkaing a normal song into a ringtone. As a bigger market develops i imagine someone will make this happen. Cell compaines love charging shit loads of money for little 30 second song clips, they don't want to give that up yet.
GPS would be sick.....if the iphone had GPS it would be the most amazing deal in the world. Specially if it was a really tech GPS integrated with google earth. I would probably shit my pants and i would buy it right now. I would just fuck off all the time exploring. That would also make the internet on it way faster cuz ti would have satelite uplinks.

by removable battery, you mean you can rip the old one out and the re-soder a new one in? boy thats convienient...
having a removeable battery means that you can have an extra charged one as a backup as well as being able to easily replace an old one.. being able to rip apart your iphone and "replace" the battery is completly different
