my buddy and i started our own local house painting company.
depending on the house we charge 20 or 30/hr, and split it. and we have supplies already, so its all profit so far. right now we're doing a 65 hour job, and it will take us a week and a couple days to do.
so all in all, it works out to between 700-800 for a weeks work. self employment kicks ass.

Which superfund site are you working at? I'm going to be in Kellog, ID, it should be a cool area to hang out at for a few months. They're paying me $28.76 an hour with some overtime possible so I'll finally be able to afford biking and skiing--maybe even new gear, too!
