I have a buddy I ski with (who is a user on here) who has both and found himself using Loveland more because of less lines and ease of access.

Does loveland have many side hits and small drops these days?

How do I make a metal rail slide? Grinding and sanded most of the rust, could I just spray it cooking coil? Or rub some ski wax on it

yeah i'd say do what you can to make it smooth and clean and then cooking spray definitely slicks things up. there might be a better spray for it but we used to use that on backyard rails all the time and i've heard of parks using it or another spray these days too

we use tire shine at the resort, always keep a few spray bottles of it in the rake shed

basically seasoning a rail like cast iron lmao

if you have a blow torch I’m pretty sure. Same thing people do to make pans non stick, always wanted to try that and see what happened

Alright I gotta stop getting belligerently-stoned off that lung crushing necromancer pack. I was fuckin scared as hell today.

Half my comment got deleted but yeah, I was saying “I wonder if you can blue a metal rail like cookware” essentially. I bet it would actually work too

Yesterday was a weird one. Went out to Anthony Lakes with a couple of friends. Plan was to tour in the morning then lap the chair in the afternoon. On the first lap of touring one partner popped a knee. First time having to move an injured person out of a Backcountry environment so that was unfortunate but also a really valuable experience. Me and the remaining partner did ski the resort in the afternoon yet. Anthony Lakes might be the best little ski hill out there. Skis way bigger than the advertised 900 vertical feet. Really cool place.

Where do you live?

Damn. I live in the columbia river gorge and need homies to explore the wallowas.

Yeah, the Wallowas are bit of a drive, but worth a couple times a year. I'll let you know next time I'm out that way.

If you think you can two onto a rail other than a tube, you probably can’t at bush. All of these things are mad tall and have negative lips. Pretty fun challenge tho

Anyone have friends with touring setups that never actually wanna tour? My buddies all wanna get shitfaced and pull up to the hill at 10 for 3 hours of park laps which is fine but it gets boring after a while. There's like no one that tours near me even though there's sick terrain that no one skis. Lmk if anyone near Plymouth NH wants to ski some cool stuff that seemingly no one knows about.

Took my first real hard crash of the season last night. Was chasing someone, saw them jump over some bushy stuff so I went for it too. Did not stick it.

finally got clean ish 3s back consistently today

also dropped some cliff that ended up being about 2 to 3 times as big as i thought it was in the flat light. first very proper double eject to face plant of the season

stay safe out there!

Only went out for an hour 1/2 today. Was hungover because we randomly went to a club with friends last night after dinner.

Damn I love skiing. Every part of it.

Yeah. It's like that one toxic GF that's so fucking fun to be around but it takes a toll on your mind and bank account. I worked dispatch this morning and coached all afternoon. So fucking fun. I can't wait for tomorrow.

We got a rare genuine snowstorm where I live, complete with "thundersnow" so I went out and toured on the local trails last night, was surreal. We never get enough snow to do that normally.

Very true. I think i prefer 2 on to sw over 2 p2 most of the time

Hiked back to the cirque at winter park for the first time today. Some steep and deep lines back there, reminded me of Taos a bit

Had a U12 Devo athlete fuckin' straightline right down the gut of a classic line at PC today that got the boys fired up. What a guy.

I also went to go chirp-back at this crew of hardos that chirped my group today but I was coming in so hot that I tomohawked and bit my lip and spit out some blood instead. Oh well. Go back to LCC buddy.

I don’t know what half of those words mean but sounds like a fun day, or a bad day, I’m not really sure what you were trying to say, Utah accent too strong.
