yesterday was the last day i was hanging out with this girl i met on a hut trip as she is going to travel for a few months. so i got her this. i went to a rock store lol and found the ball and then the bowl and it just so happened to fit into it perfectly. the ball is supposed to represent the sun and the bowl is the earth so its a sunset. why a sunset you ask? great fuckin question. a sunset is a beautiful end to the day. our relationship was just that. beautiful but ending none the less.

Its kind of insane how synonymous golf and skiing are. Every course I've worked at has been filled with nothing but ski bums who like Golf and its great honestly.

I've noticed that with other ppl but I've genuinely never played golf in my life and most of my homies haven't either

I play golf and ski. My dad plays golf and snow boards. My step pop golfs like no other and hates snow.

People from mostly wealthy upbringings doing wealthy people activities is shocking.

Golf can be done inexpensively sometimes. Where I grew up there were plenty of shitty cheap courses that the farmers would play. But yeah, definitely a status thing too

My dad grew up lower middle class in the middle of nowhere and was into golf. It’s a pretty accessible sport as long as you aren’t trying to play fancy courses

Youth on course for the win. $5 rounds

There are public courses, there was one by the house I grew up at. Never played it but apparently it was like $15 for a round, idk what it is now tho

Had the most stoke filled 3 days at Cinco de Mono ripping around WP A Basin and today at Loveland. Skiing chair 9 and Chet’s with a local may have been the gnarliest but people were sending all weekend

How have you guys dealt with graduating college? I'm in a great spot right now and thankfully I was able to land a job I wanted, but it just feels like a huge step and I'm not feeling totally ready to leave it all behind. Feels super weird and I've been trying to enjoy these last few weeks as much as possible but I'm not quite ready for the change. Any advice?

Hell yeah glad you enjoyed it, perfect conditions this weekend. Chair 9 had that good corn all day

just got a quote on the sewer line replacement. Only 2 grand, so were thinking the owners might actually bite and get it done.

We really lucked out, street was ripped up a few years ago and they replaced a good bit already with PVC. So that cut out like 8gs i think.

Are you moving away from your college town after graduation?

yes, but I'm staying in CO and I'll be in Crested Butte. I'm really looking forward to living out there for the summer but I know it's just gonna be a huge transition and I'm going to have to make some big lifestyle changes

Lol I frequently refer to my college graduation as the worst day of my life. Driving away from campus, friends, pretty much everything I knew and cared about was SUPER hard. (Not to mention being cripplingly hungover and asking my parents to stop on the side of 95 so I could throw up...) I also didnt have a job yet and was totally unsure where I'd be ending up.

Take solace in the fact that 1) it sounds like you've set yourself up pretty well for a fun summer and 2) take advice from us old folk that (in my opinion), being an adult is WAY more fun than being a college kid. 9-5s and the monotony of work did take me some time to get used to, but once you have disposable income, you can pretty much do whatever you want, whenever you want. It kinda rules.

Also don't try to grow up too quickly. I think it's important to mature and reflect on where you are/how far you've come, but in reality, you're still pretty much a kid as a recent grad and you should take advantage of it! I also thought I was going to make "lifestyle changes" when I graduated but I think I partied harder during ages 22-26 than I ever did in college.

Probably super hard to do now, but try to think of this as the start of the most exciting time of your life would be my advice.

Can we stop posting shredsauce edits on ns?

real it's a bunch of newbies and shredsauce editing is inherently not core considering the strong correlation with Instagram shred sauce accounts imo

RIP My overtime from last week and having to work 50 hours. work got called-off two days in a row. These are times I wish I worked inside, but then again an extra day of skiing isnt terrible either.

was in route to buy some fries and maybe a hotdog or some junk and ran into a coworker I hadn't seen in a while. he tells me it's because he's been out 7 weeks for a triple bypass. ended up walking past the fried foods and going for a healthier looking poke bowl thing

perfect weekend of spring skiing. love how I'm able to park so close to the snow at MJ. wonder how much longer that place will keep lifts turning. I'm hoping to get back to ski CO in June if lifts are still turning at MJ or the Basin
