What a joke is the village post office.....
I had a package arrive 16th Dec
being super busy with work (plus my hours are more than the post office is open)
I went to go on the 27th thinking xmas holidays were over might beat them before they close for new year....
but no they were shut.....
Finally had time off work to make the trek from creekside to the village to collect my package.... after waiting 40 minutes to get served... they inform me it has been returned to the sender... WHICH IS IN THE UK >.<

I have shipped hundreds of individual packages, both as a seller and a buyer, mostly within Canada and the USA, and Canada Post / USPS is by far, with no competition, the best service. Fedex is basically completely unreasonable for shipping fees, and UPS is one of the worst businesses I have ever encountered when they're shipping outside of the United States (you are basically guaranteed something will go wrong with your shipment, I have had it go smoothly with no issues maybe 10% of the time). If you really can't make a 20 minute trip to the post office within a week, I don't have much sympathy for you. They're not a storage facility, they're not going to just hold onto your stuff forever, they have lots of other people who need that space for their own mail.
 
might be worth checking again, i've had a bunch of stuff delivered recently, was chatting with the lady who works at the p/o, she said they're behind schedule with packages and got wayyy overwhelmed with Christmas & won't be sending anything immediately back the way they normally would! Perhaps your item is still in Canada somewhere in the process of being returned & could be tracked back?

No offence but did you even read the post?

I work tues-sat 7am-5pm post office is closed by the time i finish work and i work on the mountain so i cant go during lunch break.
Post office is closed Sunday.... so can only go on mondayy
and it was closed both the previous mondays due to public holidays.....
It was more a rage at the Whistler post office.... Which if you ask any local that has to pick stuff up from there... they will tell you what a joke it is.....
only having 2-3 people on the desk over the holiday period.... 40 minute wait times.... its bullshit.
 
That the holidays in any resort town. A bunch of temporary residents getting shit from abroad, its bound to get wacky, they can't just hire 20 employees for the holidays.
 
Aaaw c'mon guys sure he screwed up but that really sucksalthough it's probably not ski equipment, I'd still be pissed if that happened to me
 
When I need to go to the post office to drop off warrenty stuff for work they usually expect me to be over an hour. And I hate it, yet the old women always seem to be in a good mood.
