Curious to see what everyone is working with. Post a picture of your current setup!635039.png

Canon T3i w/ ML

Sony ECM-CG50 Mic

Tamron 17-50 f/2.8

Glidecam 2000 Pro (I snagged for $70 today!)

The "who can have the most ridiculous looking camera rig that they dont actually use thread"

this could be straight bullshit, but I thought I saw someone post on here that it actually can be better for smaller rigs, at least in the wind.

Keeping it basic:

The Cayenne has studded tires for on the mountain.

I have two of the weights on each side, and its the HD1000 so its a super short beam since i have it retracted all the way. I may have done it wrong, haha wont argue that Im no expert. But it seems to work well. I think the camera is like 1.8 pounds with the lens I have on it. Do you think the way I have it balanced after I explain works right? Or does anyone with more experience have suggestions?

what's the weight on that setup? inc tripod.

Also could you not just remove the counterweights and put the cam much further back? thus you don't have the weights+ they don't get in the way.

not sure about the total weight but with the tripod its definately a bitch to move arround.

Unfortunately the way the camera is made I need it to be forward and far from me so I can change settings mid shoot. The placement of controls on this thing is a bitch but the result is amazing.

sounds about right, 2 plates with the column most of the way out balances my setup fairly well, drop time is closer to 3 seconds though, but when I get around to putting a quick release, I will need to go 3 and 3 and bring it in

Yeah, I have a quick release that isnt on the setup right now that I would need to add another plate to each side for as its pretty hefty

its a fisheye, so its quite distorted, but I really like it. It is super wide and super sharp. I don't think I have any samples, but it comes under many different brands, like rokinon, samyang, bower etc. so there should be plenty of samples online
