Its so worth it when you feel the full saint components and the low BB of the demo. But I must say sometimes I wonder why the hell we spend this much on bikes. Thanks!
i love my bike, this isnt my exact bike, ive got shortened handlebars, and white racing tires, id rather have this my bike than any of the bikes in this thread. not really but still.
DONT get a full suspension, get a hardtail. it will teach you how to handle a bike properly, plus they are cheaper and easier to maintain. and if you get good with it, you can look core as fuck riding a hardtail on serious dh.
definitely this. A full suspension is tons of fun but going right at it spoils you. A lot of the people I've seen go straight to full seem to have this belief that the suspension will save them in any circumstance.
plus you do need experience to just handle a full. I mean shit, I was riding today for one of the first times since the fall and even though i've been riding this bike for almost 10 years, I still almost went down because i let the rear slide out too much.
For everybody asking for help on new bikes, I was looking for a new full suspension bike so i shopped around on the internet. I found a bike shop ina nearby city, it is a Specialized stumpjumper so I bought it for $500. Off course it was refubished used but still sick as fuck.
Still riding it, but for the local stuff I need to get a bike with a lower end gearing setup for some of the climbs out here.
I can make most of the course out here but the trail is super rough to begin with, then there are some aggressive steep up hills with off camber turns and shit, that you can't carry any momentum in to. Drives me insane when I ride with the crew from the local bike shop and they tell me how to ride this uphill, yet they're struggling to make it on 2 grand rigs. Not sure if I will step it up or not though. Looking to move out soon and build up a good quive for next year, so I can't see a good used bike in the near future.
I can''t wait to post a picture of my soon-to-be-new bike in here, a 2013 Giant XTC 1 Composite 29er. I 'll be running her tubeless, and throwing on some XT m780 pedals on there.
this is mine..2007 Trek Jack 3....i bought several years ago on sale when I was still kinda into dirt jumping and riding some urban. I'd really like to upgrade...
