Possibly Moving to Bend

Thinking about moving to bend at the end of summer 2014, following graduation in CO. What is bend like? Cool place? I like that its close to bachelor, 3.5 hrs to the ocean, lots of national forest, etc. Can anyone give me some info? Anything is appreciated, just trying to paint a picture in my head of what its like.

All of the activities you listed are easily accessible, close to town, and pretty stellar in their own rights. Don't forget about climbing though, we've got a strong climbing community here, with a good mix of types.

Bars and night life: tons! of microbrews, with constant live music.

Living price is decent, but is still a little above average depending on what side of town you live on. But well worth it.

Job market, I think it depends on what you're trying to get into. I've been able to find some sort of summer job here every year. But as far as careers I think you'll have to do your own research.

I've lived here since birth and love it. If I were to get really nit-picky though, I'd say our pow can get kind of heavy sometimes, and the town's getting a little to big for my liking. But the pro's far outweigh the con's here.
