Possibly Broken Bindings?

So I was skiing today and this happenedBefore(ish):

After:

Now I am not sure if it is perfectly fine to glue the plastic piece back into place, if I should just buy a new whatever it is called or be perfectly fine without it, after all the break happened behind the screw by a good 5 centimetres or so.

seems pretty unimportant. Then again I know nothing about bindings other then how to set my din and that they keep my feet on my skis.

Its a little hard to tell but it looks like the back of a riser from a salomon heel piece, correct? You can easily get a new one, we sell them for $5 for one. You could proberbly ski without it, but you put more risk of striping the screws out of the ski, as there may become movment.

Either way I would still have to get it remounted though right? And could you explain further as the only movement I could see happening is a little bit more flex out of that one ski.

You wont need it remounting no, they will just unscrew the heel piece replace the riser and screw the binding back into the same holes.

If you have a heavy back seat landing, as there is no less under the end of the heel track, there will be more force applied to the front screws, which could damage the thread. It proberbly will be fine, but for $5 why not just replace it, and know its working well.

how/ why did you take the before pick? like did you take one just incase this happened or did you just slide the plastic peace in?
