Hey,

Yes, I searchbar'd!

Querying the favorable placement for the curved mount. Top? (Crown) Peak? or Side?

Most YouTube tutorials on placement are mostly always on top (Crown). I'm guessing most people favour the middle of the helmet for balance?

Would mounting here really effect balance or is one of those things you get used too?

This looks like the place i'll go with, but again. Would this make me head heavy?

Curious to know your thoughts, mistakes and errors regarding the mounting of the GoPro. It by far the sickest gadget i've bought in years. Big Fan.

I would suggest top or peak mounting. That gives the viewer a more realistic POV(Point Of View). And looking down on the tips of the skis looks sick imo.

I will be recieving my GoPro 960 soon and will mount it between TOP and PEAK.

Good Luck!

i've got mine mounted basically on my forehead and it works excellent, also well balanced out altough without a goggle my helmet tend to shift a bit forward ......

i have mine side mounted exactly like in the picture you have OP. i dont really notice it too bad as far as weight distribution goes.

heres a video to see what it looks like. really no different than top mounted imo, but it is a lot more low profile looking.

do it in the front like the 2nd picture. DON'T put directly on top or it'll get knocked off eventually..

Definitely looking for the lower profile look. Still unsure about where to place. The Crown is out for sure.

Reminds me of this!!

Think i'm gonna go for the front mounted peak one! Not massively into filming and knowing which view looks better. Certainly wanna see my ski's me thinks.

Thanks for the advice people.

Will 100% be purchasing a chest mount, my friend who threw in said he'd prefer to wear that to film than the head strap.

Gotta fashion some sort of monopod. All the threads are helpful regarding DIY poles. I was hping to find an extendable shovel pole, so that it fits snugly in the straps provided. Unsure if the handle would work. I'll find a good one for sure and have it done for the Season.

Again, the GoPro is definitely one of those things you should of bought a while ago.
