i was at our shitty little 'mountain' as they like to call it and i see sum kid with brand new orange teneightys teneighty boots and matching salomin bindings,120$ oakleys and it was pissin me off. he doesnt do ANY THING he doesnt even kno how to ride a pipe even. i mean at least i try and i dont even have twins but i was soo mad. this kid doesnt deserve those skis. i have never really seen a skiier 'wannabe' in my life before. anythoughts?

not much you can do about it....some kids are rich, some got good jobs, and some get their parents to buy it all, i know a couple kids like that...just laugh at em, not much else to do.

he isnt hurtin anyone, let him go. plus he is bringing more money into our sport and that is what we need. instead of being a dick to him, why don't you try to ride w/ him and maybe help him get better.

 
I started on twins last year, when i bought them i wasn't any good and i worked all summer to get them. I purposely bought skiis that i knew where better then the level that i was at. Just let it be, he's bringing money into the sport so its better for all of us.

 
Ok listen up you lil twat, first off he isnt a poser, the whole idea of being a poser in anything i think is retarded, you do what u like u where/use what you like, fuck everybody else he prolly saved up and prolly bought himself some nice stuff like i did, second off it isnt hard i live in york pa and have had a job since i was 12, maybe your just fucking lazy, i had a paper route, i worked at a dinner, a pizza place, a subway, and currently at auntie anne's... I work as much as i can and still save time for school work, friends, girlfriend, and skiing... i saved up and bought myself some nice skis without any help from my parents... oh yeah and im sure you at one point were a little green, maybe you still are, if the kid changes his mind about a jump or isnt that great cut him some slack... everybody has to start somewhere, im not the best but i bought good stuff cuz i would rather spend my money on nice stuff and have fun rather than struggle to even turn on the shitty no-edge rentals..

Whoever thought 'gee i wonder if i can ride down an icy hill with wooden planks strapped to my feet?' is a genius...
 
theres no such thing as posers so stop hatin' especiall the people in our own sport. we should come together and help eachother, not talk shit about eachother and hate. and as i said, no such thing as a poser, just people that have more balls and more willing to try new things. just cuz they havent developed the balls to go big, doesnt mean they're a poser

ok dick ive applied at 2 pizza parlors and they said that theyed hire me when i was 15 although i am old enough to work. mcdonalds dont need anybody, same with burgerking and there are no subways around here. and the bigger places at the mall wont hire till your around 16-18. i am just askin how people feel about these kinda people.

go get yourself a lawn mower and mow lawns, or shovel snow, that's what i do and i make a lot more money than those shitheads at mcdonalds. I found my lawnmower in the garbage and paid for the repairs, i also got my snowblower from a guy i know and all i had to do was pay for the repairs too.

ok, enough about kids with nice gear who dont ski park. who gives a flying fuck? some people like the way twin tips ride as opposed to other traditional skis, i ride Seth Pistols, but i barely touch the park, occassionally the pipe, but i like ridign powder and big mountain. i have twins though, does that make me a poser? huh huh huh? does it? fuck off dude, and leave everyone alone- as long as they're having fun on what they ride, why should you care?

only time i bitch is when people purposely misuse jumps and stuff... like when the frickin little kids roll over it with the intent of not getting air because they are scared... or when people hit off the sides of kickers to jumps, no bailing from the rail, but gettin a good 3 inches of frickin air... if the kid actually wants to learn then whatever, but i agree that if he WANTS to look pro and doesnt want to learn then kick him in the teeth... but its a rare case that u find someone who doesnt want to learn tricks.

side 1:kid worked alot and got them money afford all the stuff he see's in magazines..thats pretty respectful...and hes a kid

side 2:mommy and daddy bought everything when he asked and got in the easy way...not really cool but what can ya do...my friend works ALOT...hes 14 and he works about as much as alot of adults and he EARNED every bit of money and got new 1080's...granted hes the worst skiier ever and hasnt learned a 180 on his skiboards in the 3 years he's been on them and is now trying skiing but doomed to be embarassed

maybe you should ask him how he got all that stuff
