Posable strike

yeah, my school would close too. it gets discusting waaay too fast without the custodians. but the dates keep changing for the strike.. last week we got a letter about it saying it could start as early as (last) wednesday... but then i heard that they were pushing the 3rd reading of the bill untill march break so it wouldn't affect schools.. so i don't know whats going on
 
aparently theres some law that came out after the last strike 8 (i think) years ago that says school cannot be extended into the summer if theres a strike ... which is horrible becasue say there is a week or two strike you have to make up all that time along with everything else you would normally have to do.. so stressful.
 
This is an illegal strike so school cannot be adjusted into the summer holidays. If this was a provincial sanctioned strike then that would be OK. My school will be in tommorow regardless of the strike but if it goes on longer than a day then we will close the school. :)
 
the perfect stike would be thursday and friday off and back to school on monday ot tuesday cuz then there wouldnt be too much work build up but we get a long long weekend
 
i think it owuld be sick but is it true that if the skool strikes u gotta make that up from ur summer break? cuz then that would suk
 
yeh at my school nothing happens.. we stay open just there will be none to clean up the extreme mess all over the place, and to book us in and out...so noone will get docked for not showing up or being late...so like none is going to be there...
 
dammit they came to an agreement

my school would have shut down cuz its old and the cartakers have to work the heating and the pool and all this other shit

but dam y did they have to come to an agreement
 
meh a day off wouldnt have been to bad in my books, if it lasted a long time that would suck though, we would be swamped with homework as soon as we got back
 
FUCK CUPE thats all i have to say. however if you live on campus somewhere a strike is a good time, until you realize how much your getting screwed... but beer helps that

Who wants to take me skiing somewhere? Is there still a Mt St Louis Bus or Blue Mountain bus?
