Hey guys,
I'm looking to move out to Portland from Burlington, Vermont to attend Grad School at Portland State. I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations on living areas/buildings/apartments/whatever. I'm looking for a 2 bedroom setup with one of my good friends from home. I'd prefer to live closer to campus/downtown (but who wouldn't) and not in a complete shit hole haha.
In Burlington we pay around 600 per person, per month, so I guess i'm looking for something similar in pricing, so under 1200 per month as close to Portland State as I can get. I won't be moving until this summer/next fall, but I wanted to get a head start on my research. Thanks,Ty

Currently going to portland state as of now we are living across the river in SE this year with a house.

the last couple years we have lived downtown in campus, and for 600 per peron you can get a descent apartment, wont be amazing.

However if you want to be in the middle of campus check out "the vue" there is also the "Cyan" which is more pricey, but very nice. "Harrison Towers" many students live in these as well and they also offer townhouses which are really awesome.

Also check out padmapper.com for majority of the apartment listings around portland state.

hit me up if you got any other questions.

I just moved here from idaho with my best friend and we live a little outside portland, (closer to hood) and go to mt hoood community college. we pay 665 a month for a 2 bed one bath thats in a fourplex. nothing fancy but we arent in the dumps either... hoped that helped.

Ive lived in NW, NE, SW, and SE. NO QUESTION NW IS THE BEST SPOT TO LIVE. -pretty much in downtown, safe part too-great food-great mountain biking-great skateboarding-all the freeways are right there-chicks-portland state right there-the west hills for when it snows and urban comes to play-easily, hands down the best spot to live
