Anyone out there work in Portland and know if your company is looking for people?

I will be moving in June and need to find a job. Looking for marketing or sales gigs, I've got 6+ years experience.

Would prefer start-up culture, but not a deal breaker.

Portland's rent/cost of living has gone through the roof over the last 5 years. i blame portlandia. don't waste your time moving here.

I've always wanted to skate or bike burnside.

By the time I ever make it there it'll either be gone, or I'll be too washed up to even drop into anything over 1' high.

they just upped min wage to 14.75 in portland which is still not enough lol but its a start... thinking about heading back that way i love oregon

Portland is pretty much full of 20somethings in entry level jobs... good luck, but it's not a place I'd recommend going if you don't have a good amount of job experience... Don't expect to have a full time job. Prepare to work 2-3 to make ends...

I have more than enough experience for mid-level positions. I've worked in a managerial role for Live Nation for 5 years and have a year experience working for a startup. I'm not worried that I'll struggle to find something.

I've been on the job boards all week and have only received one phone interview. It seems like the distance is the issue right now.
