Portable Hardrive

so i just got a toshiba 500g portable hardrive for christmas and its supposed to be really easy to work, but i cant work this thing if my life depended on it. all i to do want is put my itunes onto it so i can take all my music to college and put it on my new laptop there. at the main menu i selected "files and folders" and then chose the option containing music. it ripped it onto it but said it wasn't complete because it wants to rip MY ENTIRE COMPUTER. i dont all that shit. AND i can't find how to access any of the music that it supposedly ripped onto the hardrive.

PLEAS HELP
 
just open up my computer. click on your harddrive. make a new folder for your music.

then just drag your original music folder into there...

whatever program shit came on it delete it.
