I'm looking for a portable audio recorder on a budget. I just recently started looking at them and it seems like some are better off plugging a mic into them, but I'd rather use it to record the audio itself through a built in mic.
Sub $150 preferably
Play well with gh4
Best audio quality for the price
Using for ambient sounds to layer over video and interviews (maybe with a lav later down the road)
Any recommendations on specific models? I know that there's tascam and zoom, I'd also appreciate any insight whatsoever about recording audio in general!
