Porcupine attacks

Yeah I'm surprised at 2 things1) The guy didn't use his pole to fend it off

2) He didn't a mouthful of porcupine quills
 
looks to me like that porcupine was like "oh, sweet! a goretex tree! i'm totally going to climb up it and check it out!" and the human didn't so much like the tree-climbing claws...we had a nice porcupine that hung out at the bottom of our chairlift- he was pretty cool. he'd come over and just sniff your boots and then go back to his sunny hang out spot. a few people petted him successfully. he did not get hand fed, and he lives happily in the area and hasn't ever bitten anyone to my knowledge. porcupines are cool and are pretty darned slow movers.
 
Haha a bunch of my friends and I were bombing down to park and all of a sudden this wolf sprinted out and almost nailed my friend. was scary but have had good laughs of it now
 
Haha, it's about time. That porcupine hangs out at the bottom of supreme lift all the time waiting for people to come feed it. it's like the unofficial mascot of Alta
 
Lol. im amazed at how unfazed the porcupine was haha. It really didnt give a shit about all the people or the skier.
