Poor skiers

im at home missing out on partying at school because im working around the house to make money to eat.

$5 boots beeeetch! im not poor. its hard to be truly poor and a skier at the same time. but im less rich than many
 
I got my jacket from a thrift store..........but I am far from poor just cheap. Pretty fortunate to grow up in a wealthy snowy country
 
my close family yes, distant family no. get money from them for new gear around christmas time and what not, and work at my local hill to get a free seasons.
 
But their parents are rich...
I no longer have a job and I'm living away from home at university, so yeah. Not much $$ for me now. Good thing I bought all my gear when living at home with a job.
 
my parents have some money but they don't give it to me to buy ski stuff, if having 13 dollars in my savings account qualifies as poor, then yes, i am
 
you can definitely be a poor skier. i know many. you just gotta get tricky. thats where the whole ski BUM part came about. i havent lived out of my car yet but thats what next years for.
 
but if you think of it that way you'd never be poor, not until you were homeless and with nothing. i really don't know if i'll have skis for this year. im not just spending all my money on skiing cause i dont have any i also know that some way or another i will ski all winter. wierd eh
 
exactly. and if skiing is your priority, you clearly arent THAT poor. because you arent worried about things like idk... food. life. please dont pretend that your life is somehow challenging because you cant ski. sure it sucks. but things could sure as hell be a lot worse.
