karma gained and lost within the blink of an eye, this is ridiculous haha. theres so many up right now its ridiculous... just thought i'd point out that people obsess over the searchbar and yet we have like 6 obama related threads on this page alone. lets consolodate this some maybe, im not by any means saying end it haha

what's more annoying is that if you post anything at all that people will oppose, your karma takes a dive. It doesn't bother me personally because i don't base my life on what people on ns think of me, but i think its almost like abusing the karma system.

i dont necessarily think thats true. i post a shitload in em and i have half decent karma. however after that post i probably wont hahaha

I do agree, main reason being not that it really makes me upset at the time losing karma, but more so that when I want to go sell something in the buy/sell/trade forum, people are sometimes sketched out by people with lower karma and not a lot of reviews. Other than that though I don't think its too big of a deal.

it is for sure abusing the karma system. i'll post an opinion and watch my karma go on a roller coaster ride for the next 2 days as people rate my opinion. k is supposed to let people know whether what they posted was relevant/entertaining or not, not whether you agree/disagree with their opinion. i dont give a damn about karma, and i dont really post enough to build a massive karma rating or anything, but this just seems backwards to me.

my karma took a dive right before the election when i posted funny videos of obama saying stupid shit. it wasn't even a serious thread. i used to have 70k. Not that i give a shit.

i went from 960 to like 860 yesterday because i voiced an opinion... didnt even disagree with anyone directly. thats when i realized something was a bit off

also, karma just fluxuates, i dont have much, but it took me like, 2 weeks to get from 2900 to over 3000. even now, it may be below 3000 lol. oh well.
