POLES

^ i disagree a good pair of light and durable poles are always nice as well as the more you pay the better they look.
Joystick Poles.

I have a $27 pair of light green Joystick poles that I really like. I really don't see how paying more for poles correlates with how good the poles look. Sure, they become more lightweight and more durable, but the weight really won't make much of a difference, and all you have to do is not smack your poles against rails to make them last.

I bought a pair of rental poles. I don't like aluminum all to much, so I think I have some Goode graphite poles?

used to have some like those. snapped in half. got a pair of k2 poles for Christmas. Snapped in half. Bought some scotts, nothing special. WON SOME JOYSTICK POLES! WOOH

Yea, I've had a pair of K2 poles (those bright orange ones) and a pair of Goode Poles split apart on me. These ones are different though, different weight.

Lucky you on winning.

poles dont really matter...however, it's your call, if ya wanna buy some poles that you think are dope thats your call.
If you do wanna buy some poles i'd recomend the Pin poles by line. They are good for three main reasons1. lightweight and look sick2.durable3.small

True story, I use to get cheep poles, even poles from line and so on and they would break constantly. (line poles are the shittest pols ive ever ridden, my buddy bought some last year first run hit his edge and went clean threw the poll, not a bend, clean threw it looked like it was cut with a saw. I use to really like line but after they didnt respont to 2 emails, and the shop didnt have any luck with Line I became a little bit of a turn off. And I've been a line fan going back to the ghettoblasters, and og1260's. There reasioning was it was very cold causing the polls to break, it a 35 degree day at the coldest in new Jersy).

moral of the story...

I spent some money and bought scott punishers maybe 4-5 years ago and despites being dinged up like crazy they are holding strong

Anything with series 4 aluminum from Scott. Like the team issue. They are insanely strong and light. not cheap, but well worth the money!

for poles, i usually just steal an old pair from my younger sister and then chop them down. if they have flowery graphics or something i just spray paint them black

Hey man heres my $.02Poles dont really matter, sure you can spend lots of money on indestructible poles (see: scott team issue) or you can buy/borrow/steal/ old ones. If they break its no big deal because you didn't invest much in them in the first place. What I did was take an old pair of 80s poles, cut them to the right length for me, took off the grips and added animal bmx grips. For straps I cut a slit on both sides of the grip and inserted an old pair of straps through them.
I used to have pictures in my profile but I deleted them...But now Joystick is sending me free poles so im happy :)

this, it would be tight cuz then u could put them on alota differnt poles and still have a baller grip

Sickstickz for sure, they look baller, not to expensive and they look baller.
I've seen all the new line up of poles and they really look sick in person I purchased the Money ones and the High Fives fo sho.

Honestly just steal some rental poles. that costs the resort about $5 max, which you could look at as compensation for ridiculously overpriced food. if you really want them to look pretty then paint them.

the last pair of poles i had cost 6 bucks and i bought like 4 pair and the first pair i used were holding up fine for all last season till i lost them. spending 40+ on a pair of poles is the dumbest thing i can think of. find the cheapest pair and u wont care when they break/get lost/stolen because that is going to happen to your expensive poles anyway

I have some grips... I lost the shaft of one skiing in the forest, pow basket got caught i took a tumble, and only had the grip left in my hand.

Now use Joystick.

So if you want a set of just the grips we can sort something.

Cheap poles will be fine. If you do go with a nicer pole keep the grips when they snap and put them on a cheap pair of poles. Grips are really the only difference between good poles/cheap poles that you will actually notice.

Good point, but not 100% correct. Typically when you pay more money for a product it is because that product has a higher cost to produce. It has a higher cost to produce because it utilizes nicer components and/or has higher development costs. More expensive poles may have nicer grips or straps, but the shaft determines a lot of the price. For example, a 7000+ aluminum shaft is my stronger than a 5000 aluminum. If you want a pole to last, then buy a 7000+ shaft.
