Poles

Anyone wanna explain to me the reason someone might go out and spend big money on a pair of poles? I know there are some ill lookin poles out there sportin leather straps and all, but i have never actually purchased a set of poles in my life, I usually just steal rentals. What is the advantage of $130 pole, compared to my stolen spray painted gold rentals?

only advantage is graphics, and lightness. mabyea bit of durability.
if i get poles i always get teh cheapest ones possible theyre just gonna bend/break anyways.
