Poles that are to big. Face injury

I previously broke my poles so I got a used pair and they were too big. I landed a rail switch and the pole stuck into the ground and my head went down, imagine heavy head afterbang, and my face slammed into my pole and now my face is messed up. Its like an abrasion and its all swollen and its bleeding on the inside and out. No pictures cause now im ugly. Everyone made fun of me.

I hate this. Has this ever happened to anyone?

But I did that once, except I was sitting on my heelpieces, hands in front of me, and my poles pointing kinda forward. One caught a bump and shot up into my face, but I had goggles on. So I had a bruise in the outline of my goggles on the left side of my face for a few days. Huge scratch across the lens too.
