I recently won a pair of 45" scott team issue poles, which I think are alittle big for freestyle I think... Im 5"11 and I was wondering about what height I should cut my poles to?

Im 6' and currently use 42 cm poles. But I would go a little shorter. I wish mine were a bit shorter for sure.

Hack saw ought to work. are they aluminum poles? Just be gentle so they dont get cut jagged.

Well if you can use a pipe cutter you should be good, and scott poles are probably good enough, I use shitty really thin poles so they are liable to be shredded by a hacksaw. just tore up basically. I dunno, try cutting off like an inch first to see if whatever method you use works, if so, cut the rest.

i put tape around where i cut and marked it the saw cut alot cleaner than when i did it without tape

I would reccomend cutting it to what you are most comfortable on. Not what people tell you to cut it to.
