I genuinely don’t understand the advantages of poles in park other than pushing through the flats and a little help with balance what is good about em like they get in the way it’s another thing to loose in a crash please explain why they good I mean some dudes make it look tuff but what’s the practical reason

also, i went for like 5 years without poles but poles just make everything better.

skis are heavy as fuck, and to have these weights strapped to your feet (skis) but no weights in your hands (poles) is dynamically a festival of window rolling degeneracy.

some skiers like killian keegbride and sam zahner can penetrate vaginas without poles but most skiers who go without poles look like shit to be honest.

even corey vanulars style was terrible when he went no poles in the johnny rotten video.

and with poles vanular used to have the sickest style of anybody.

so if you want to go no poles to practice thats fine but most skiers are gonna look better with poles.

Arms flailing all over the place just makes you look like a retarded penguin.

i skied no poles for a while when my collarbone was on the mend and it hurt to push. It fucking sucked and i was just skiing groomers.

You get stronger legs

You can't hit yourself with your pole

You feel a little bit more free

Cons:

You can't push with your poles

You can't make pole plants turning

Poles help skiing powder

Poles make it easier to have style

Poles help with anything big mountain

I prefer poles now, but I went no poles for a decent chunk of time there.

I've twice now pole planted while ripping a groomer super angulated and somewhere gotten the pole kind of stuck in the snow and blasted my neck with the handle of the pole. It sucked both times.
