yes. nailed it right on the head. there is indeed some magical power that comes inside every pole ever manufactured. When you hold one, you channel the energy stored in the baskets and release it through your skis. Truly a one of a kind process only taking part in the ski industry. only skis with poles

Poles affect your balance. If you're used to skiing with poles it takes practice to ski without them, and vice versa.

Yeah, its mostly just a comfort thing. Do what you feel works best!

However, IMO skiers that DO use poles look 1000x better on video than without. Riders without poles always flail their arms thru every trick and then get to the bottom and act like it looked so steeze when really, it looked reckless/flawed.

Way back in the day when no poles was just getting popular I was talking to some dude on the lift about it and he said,

"Skiing no poles is like getting head from a dude, yeah it might feel good at first until you look down and realize your a f*g..."

Not necessarily a politically correct way to put it but it was pretty funny to hear at the time.

Skis areheavy things attached to your feet, and poles balance this by being heavy things attached to your hands.

If your arms are heavy enough to make nopoles skiing look good, you are a true gangsta.

Even some pros have tried to drop the poles unsuccessfully. Their

style went to shit without them.

If you grow up going without poles you can make it look effortless like kilbride and

zahner.

But nopoles is not easy to master

Ah yes the annual pole or no poles thread.. where OP always answers their own question but needs reassurance from dirtbags like myself

poles with no baskets are sexy

ahhh, my friend, you must not experience the phenomenon some out west call "snowfall". One day brother, one day....

Ski with whatever feels good man, Don't worry about steeze too early get the basics down then start to worry about steeze.

I don't ski with poles because I watched someone impale himself with his own pole... Straight through the gut. Not very fun.

I find bailing to be a lot easier without poles... When learning basic tricks it's probably safer to ditch the poles for safety reasons. I've hear all kinds of stories about broken thumbs and wrists and shit because of a weird landing with the poles.

They do look kinda steeze doe

For real, I never wear polestraps when I use poles so i can throw them the hell away from me when things go sideways.

I saw someone get injured by a ski once, better not use those anymore either
