Pole length

the "proper" size is for your elbow to make a 90 degree angle when you hold your pole...but other than that its all personal preference

mine are 37 inches and I am 6'3. they are reallly really small... but it's personal preference.

as said above, you should hold the pole upside down just below the basket, and that should place your arm at a 90 degree angle. That's the "correct" size. I wouldn't go any bigger if I were you, but going smaller is personal preference.

based on that rule, mine are like 9 inches too short haha

exactly haha, get what's cheap. hit up thrift shops. Ihave never paidmore than 5 dollars for poles.

15 inches bitches

5'11" my freeride poles are 48" and my park poles are 42". little poles are impossible to use if you ski anything but park. i can't fucking stand riding bc with little poles, it's borderline dangerous.

yeah, i think anything thats like 8 or so inches shorter than the 90 degree arm thing is just pointless because you get no use out of them you might as well just go without

Well it's all about what you feel comfortable with, but most people riding park like to have their pole shorter than the 90 degree rule. According to that rule I should have something around 110 cm, but my poles are 95 cm and I think I will get shorter ones next time.

(sorry for writing the length in cm, but I'm from Europe :D)

Ya I know dawg just like Tanner and the vikings!!!!

Seriously though I'm gonna give one pole a serious shot next season. I like no poles because it's easier to grab, but I hate feeling like im a retard in lift line

im 5 11 my park poles are maybe 30 inches, they go up to my knees haha, but for everyday riding i have 44" poles, they do the elbow trick then just cut them down to your preference

If theres anything dumber than ghetto park rats skiing without poles, its ghetto park rats skiing with tiny little poles. It looks so stupid.

But no matter, when it snows my burly fuckin poles will tear through the pow.

None. When I do, every so often, ther are 32 inches.

My buddy has 60 inch poles. Its all preference.
