Pole Grips

What's everyone's opinion on using a bmx style pole grip compared to a more normal grip with a particular way of holding it?

I just did up these guys, I can use em for anything including skinning up to ice climbs, and they adjust from 130-95cm!

I used the oury pyramid grips because of their smaller diameter, I used to use ODI longnecks but these are easier to handle for me.

Ohh I've always wanted to try slapping some longnecks on my poles, bar ends included.

But the diameter of most poles is slightly smaller than bmx handlebars? Anyone got tips for making them fit?

Old thread said they just hockey taped the grip part on the pole then put it over. Made it snug, gonna test it out

What did you use for the grip under the handles?

Damn those are huge, do you use it all?

Also did they’d slide on well? Anything under it?

Yeah I kinda move up or down on em if i'm in bumps or steeps. The diameter of the pole was too small, so I used duct tape as a layer underneath. So then I had to kinda "roll" the grips on. Honestly it was a pain in the ass, but they are rock-solid on there now.

Sounds dope man, and yeah I hate throwing these types of grips on. Some compressed air helps a bit

If you have an air compressor handy, you can put the hose on the side you want the grip to slide towards and your hand on the other end of the grip creating a vacuum so it expands and can be pulled of the pole.
