How do you live on the happy side of life though?

Skiing for example yes it gives you happiness but what if it was taken away (say you had your leg amputated for some reason) what would you do.

Biologically I agree with you but for mental health we have to consider the philosophical point of life and that's where I get lost

How the fuck does it matter what we do when we are so insignificant in the universe as a whole.

 
sit ski. problem solved. that would be exactly what i would do if i were in that situation. nothing could stop me from skiing (except death).

The point of life. Easy answer and once you realize this IS the answer your life will be so much better.
The point of life is to live. To experience all you can while you can when you can. You need to be happy, sad, mad, embarassed, nervous. You need to fuck up you need to succeed you need to experience it.
You were given a gift. A gift that so few have the opportunity to take advantage of.
Your dad has been beating his meat probably since he was 13. There are an average of 200 million sperm cells with everytime you ejaculate. Ok since we were all young once and beating it til we got callouses say your dad beat it an average of 5 times a week from the time he was thirteen until the time he had you we will go with 27 years old. 52 weeks in a year thats ejaculating 260 times a year for 14 years. so that is 3640 ejaculations in those 14 years and that means your dad got rid of roughly 728,000,000,000 sperm cells. So that one faithful night when he was going to town on your mom. That one ejaculation out of 3,640, you were the one sperm cell that fertilized itself into a female egg. That makes you about 1 in 728,000,000,000. Thats 121 times the population of the earth. Imagine 121 planets all with 6 billion people on them. and you won it. That is what it's like to get the chance of being born. And not even that but if you take in the factors of your dad and mom meeting and their parents meeting and their parents meeting so on and so forth it is so fucking astronomical its not even funny and you get into numbers that are so big th human mind can't even comprehend that.
So you have this astronomically one sided victory and the prize you won was being granted life.
How can yu not seize that and cherish the fuck out of it? even if you're homeless and fucking starving. YOU ARE ALIVE. you can know what a sunset looks like know what a kiss feels like know what love feels like. know what thinking feels like. know what a conscious feels like.
I hate seeing kids who commit suicide. Its like sick man you fucking recieved the best gift the universe can give you and you tossed it away. I know plenty of sperm cells that would gladly take that from you rather than living as a cell for two days on a tissue.
So yeah the meaning of life is to live it and live everysecond of it like you don't have another second to live.
Live brotha, ski, smoke, do stupid shit, get laid, get your ass kicked, watch a sunset, give your mom a hug. All of that is why you live. The point is to just experience it and take whats thrown at you play with the cards your dealt and make the best of it. So you are a starving african kid. Thats a shitty hand to be dealt try an enjoy a sunset and when you get a full meal enjoy that feeling. You're an upper middle class white kid in america. Go get a free education and learn and cherish it and be stoked that you are alive to know who george washington is and all that jazz.

the point of life is supposed to be un answered humans are always looking for answers thats why there are so many videos about predicted life after death. That is one question that can't be answered, so the point is to give up trying to find the answer.

Reading that and about the news with sarah today, really got to me and man I am blessed, purely blessed and from time to time I overlook it and think i have it tough sometimes. But not any more. no! I have a fucking amazing life, amazing friends, fucking amazing parents and i wouldn't have it any other way. No longer in life I will be pissy about the hardships in life. I hope every one gets the vibe and attitude im getting from today because it is an eye opener.

I don't think there is a definitive point to life. I believe that everyone is here for a reason, no matter how big or small though. I think people shouldn't focus on how to live their lives, but impact others, and that, is how we make our own lives worthwhile. Some people worry so much about stupid shit, like all NSers bitching on Gear Talk about why you shouldn't buy First Drop, or something irrelevant like that. I think we should all focus on helping others, those in need, and then our own lives will be purposeful and worthwhile.
