Has the technology even changed from year to year or does sal just put on new graphics? My edges are trashed and I need to get a new pair, but I might as well buy some older new ones if the technology is the same and I can save a few bucks.

 
buy the seth pistols. same sizes and a way more solid ski. a little heavier though

Some people think they are too soft...what do you think? I've never had any issues with a lack of stiffness. Wait are we talking skis?

 
the seth pistols are a good park ski. i didn't hit the park a ton this year but they were great when i did. also they are a little on the heavier side so if there is really chunky snow you can just blast right through it

you ride AR5's. youve never ridden Pistols much less Rockets. and i bet your gonna make up some story that you tried both of them on a demo day or some lame excuse. but even if you had ridden them, in the park i dont know why, but if you had ridden them in the park, you wouldve found the Rockets to be softer and a nicer flex for park skiing than the pistol. at the right length, the Rocket would be more preferable in the park. annnnd the Rocket is alot lighter than the pistol, and most park riders like a light ski.

i ride pistols and rocket rockets everyday, and i dont think pistols would hold up to long riding the park every day, i say, buying both would be the best option. BUT i understand thats prolly not an option, i say pocket rockets over the pistols, and also i know i didnt even answer your question about the tech changing, but the ones i use in the park are the ones with the ugly graphics, like the green rocket man or whatever. they work just fine for me in the park.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

I think they Pocket Rockets are the same construction as they were their first year to tell you the truth.

My Prockets have been beat to shit for 3 seasons and they held up fine. When I say beat to shit I mean beat to shit. They are the best powder ski I've ever had the pleasure of surfing on.

 
I think the ski stays pretty much the same from ywear to year.

think up until the y changed to the teneighty gun (this year) they are all identical, and im pretty sure all they changed was the graphic and felx patterns

Ive owned the pistols and the rockets, and id go for the rockets for sure
