Poaching the COP pipe..

anyone tried sneeking into COP and just hiking the pipe without buying a ticket? i'm pretty sure they only check tickets at the lift but i'm not sure. any advice would be key..

 
I could see that, but they might notice you hiking up to the pipe the first time. I only had my ticket checked twice the entire day I was there.

Ya everyone does do that. I did and never got checked in four days, and even if you do get checked, just tell them that its in your coat in the lodge. Then go down and leave and come another day.

Im dumb and still bought a pass just so I wouldnt have any trouble and could ride the lifts.

 
No man! they're going nuts this year, they have people on snowmobiles that come and check passes every once and a while. And it's hilarious half the people just burn away

I find it best to ride up the chair on the left, if they're checking passes there, just wait 5 mins. cause they'll be finished that gig by then... They're damn lazy there.

Then just ride into the park, then once your in just hike it.

Seems to work well for me.

 
I haven't haven't been checked since january. you just got to keep you eye open because they will be in red COP jackets that say hill patrol of the lifties will ask. All the ticket checkers are gone, so its up to the lifties and they don't like their jobs so go for it.

We do that here. we hada 45 footer with a 6 foot step down set up at one of the local hills. Plus a 20 foot kicker for backs, and a hip. It was our own private park.

that's awesome, i'm gonna try to build a park at my cousins acerage next winter if we get enough snow cause he has one of those cat things
