Plexy glass thickness?

im looking into getting some plexy glass to cover my A-frame box. how dose that stuff slide? and what thickness should i get? dose it really mader that much?
 
don't get plexiglass. It sucks and cracks. get HDPE. you can order it online for a decent price if there are no stores that carry it near you
 
^word. and that should slide really smooth and be pretty durable. thickness should prolly be 1/4-1/2 inch. 3/8in is prolly your best bet.
