Please tell me I’m paranoid

I get the whole “tools not jewels” thing, but I really don’t know shit about skis in terms of construction. Is this needing of some fixing? The little white part near the edge is lifted a bit.

I’ve never had new skis so I never look at them in detail like this, so I think it may be nothing

Can you feel it?

does it appear the base is higher than the edge right there?

And feeling again, the base feels higher in this spot than the rest of the ski. Doesn’t feel like much edge was lost

You’re not paranoid for noticing it

You’re not paranoid for worrying about it.

similar thing happened on my on3ps. Same thought process. I haven’t seen them get any worse. I’d say you’re ok but just keep an eye on it whenever youre waxing to make sure nothing is changing.

Sweet thanks, definitely not a huge thing, but I’ll keep on the lookout

Those look amazing compared to my new skiis brand new vishnus this year already got 11 edge cracks and the edge is starting to peel out still working on my core shot though. I got wets and my friend has wides we agreed that if we ride vishnu then we need an core shot within the first season.

Dull your fucking edges

Dang is the vishnu construction just weaker this season or have you just been beating them to shit?

No these are super durable for the flexibility I've just been beating the crap out of them woods runs with half an inch of snow, being dragged by 4wheelers and trucks down the dirt roads exetera. These are my favorite pair of skis I've ever owned.

Dude if this is what you're doing with your skis I don't think it's very chill to be putting Vishnu on blast for the edge cracks

If you can feel the base higher than the edge then it's not really good, as it's base high. The edge should perfectly match the base. I'm not sure I'd send them back, but I'd ask them to see if they would pay for a stone grind to get the bases flat. I'm sure a quick tune would get them flat and you'd be good to go, but I think the manufacturer should pay for that.

Why would the manufacturer pay for him hitting a rock?

Nah it’s impact related isn’t covered and still,

I think any other ski brand would be most likely be much more fucked. I basically dropped a cliff right on a rock

Update: Got it back from the shop, basically gone. I can’t feel any bump and it’s smooth as can be.

I guess what happened is I hit a rock, and that bump was actually a piece of rock still in the ski. It somehow was soft enough that instead of cutting it just went into the ski. The shop got it out, epoxied and clamped it down. Back to new

if you’re in Bozeman MT got to MT ski and boot fitting. They know there shit
