So hopefully this thread won't get deleted. Are we allowed to do these anymore?

Anyways, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vote for my old high school! Band was the absolutely BEST part of my high school experience (I miss it everyday) and ours is dangerously close to getting cut.

A few little personal stories to show that we need this money..

1. Everything they say in the idea is 110% the truth.

2. One time while we were unloading a truck at a parade, the sousaphone's (that white instrument you see in the video) case completely crumbled (literally) because of how old it was and the instrument struck a woman in the face. Almost knocked her out. That's how most of our equipment is.

3. We're a marching band and half of us would wear the old uniform and the other half would wear the new uniform. We couldn't afford to buy all new uniforms, but we had to replace some of the old ones because they are 30+ years old.

4. Our band isn't the 'geeks' or whatever. It is actually weird if you are NOT in band or chorus. Everyone just truly loves it. When I tell people that, they never believe me. But it's true! Band was really really cool!

i know how you feel, this almost happened to my old school until someone anomonysly (spelling?) donated money, so i will vote for you 1/day until 11/17, I hope your program doesn't get cut! that would suck, music is awesome
 
I sometimes play the sousaphone in my schools marching band, and the thing's ancient. We found a picture of it from a pep rally in 1975. It's being held together with duct tape and krazy glue. Probably the worst instrument to march with though, it's both embarrassing and painful.

Anyway, I voted, and I probably will again tomorrow.
 
I just found out that my school is doing this, But I'm still voting for yours because yours needs it more. I mean just because were getting budget cuts on music doesn't mean we won't get any funding at all. Plus ours is just for choir what's one choir gonna do with all of that money that's just dumb
