Please Help Me with math project

Ok i've tried this for a while but i can't get the right answer. Everyone I know is getting the same answer but for some reason it isn't right.

Area of field- 76171.8

The sod comopany suggests that you need to allow for a 7% waste when determining the amount of sod you need. What would be the minimum amount of sod that you need to order to include this waste factor?

The answer i have is 81503.8 which is not right

I don't see how that isn't right. You just multiply the are by 107 percent.. i.e. a factor of 1.07 and i got the same answer you did.
 
Im thinking that the more sod you add the greater the 7% is. So its not 7% of the area of the field. Somthing like that but i still cant figure it out.
 
Shouldn't volume be taken in to account in this problem? That 76171.8 is just the area of your field. You aren't going to put down just a thin layer, you need the depth of what the sod should be right? Somethings gotta happen with volume.
