Please help me!!! Important!!

So I bought a crowbar strap from someone on here. I got a torn up evenlope in the mail the other day with no return address or even filled out correctly so the post office can't track to where the evenlope was destroyed or where it came from. The strap is nowhere to be found. I contacted the seller and he said that is what he shipped the strap in. Am I entitled to a refund? This isn't a callout just need help with this.

The PO requires a return address to be put on an envelope to even ship it so I am not entirely sure how that could have gotten shipped.

clearly you were scammed IMO. people used to use the ripped envelope trick to scam skullcandy. the fact that there isnt a return address is pretty sketchy also. i would make a callout

It was shipped from Canada so idk if there is different shipping regulations or what. I can upload a pic of the evenlope later too

Yeah you need a return address or they won't ship it. It couldn't have gotten to your house through the PO. The only way I can see it happening is someone actually putting the torn envelope in your mailbox.

when you warranty skullcandy hp's you just send in a small portion of the cord in an envelope.if you rip the envelope before hand they will give you the benefit of doubt and send you hp's you never had to begin with. real dickhead thing to do imo

Well somehow it did get to my house torn up and empty. I tried to file a dispute through paypal but they said I didn't pay for a good or service so I can't dispute it. Anyone know anything bout that too.

This, I would think it was something at the post office.

It's just a weird situation all together. Like obviously he didn't drive from canada to put a ripped envelope in your box but then again, what are the odds of having someone at the post office who would want a crowbar strap?

First of all, how do you know that this was the envelope from the seller if there was no return address?

Secondly, its basically your word against his so there is no call out unless you have some evidence that he deliberately tried to scam you. Innocent till proven guilty.

I know it is his because he told me he shipped it in a plain white evenlope and under paypal I have my first name James. Anyone who actually knows me knows I go by my middle name Jacob so they wouldve addressed it differently

No man, you can only blame him for shipping it in a poorly marker envelope, not a proper sturdy one of small box. But, not enough to call him out or warrant a refund. Its a shitty situation, at least you didn't lose too much money.

Yup.

As unfortunate as it is, that is the way it goes man. And even if there is indisputable proof that HE sent it and it arrived like that, there is nothing that you can do.

Sorry for the loss man.

Actually I was wrong. I just checked and I guess they will send a letter without a return address. So, yeah, it was either legitly lost, or you got scammed.
