HOPEFULLY THIS ISNT TO CONFUSING
for those of you who use adsense or no anyhthing about it, i made like 10 dollars, and my account is on hold until i enter my pin (just came in the mail), cell number, and then it brings me to some taxpayer shit and wants me to either enter my SSN or my EIN? i have no idea what my EIN even is, you have a choice to enter one of them, but there no way in hell im entering my SSN over the internet. so guys what do i do?
 
im pretty sure that whole thing is a scam.

your talking about those ads that are like google paid me 5500 dollars!!!$*(#@!

cause those are scams.
 
no google adsense puts advertisements on your website so you can make money off of it. its not a scam.

but i wouldnt trust it to much. contact google and ask?
 
Adsense is not a scam. If you are actually on google.com you are not being scammed, and the SSN is probably because the ad earnings are taxable income. I would still email Google first, though.
 
lakeeffect has it. It is taxable income and Google is legally obligated to report your earnings to the IRS. In order to do so they need your SSN/EIN.

Just ensure that you truly are on a secure Google site and it will be alright.
