Please bring the bumps back!

I know there are many of you here that have the ear of management, grooming crew, etc. I'm begging again for the 13th straight year to please let one slope off the red chair bump up.

First of all you guys do a great job keeping the snow quality perfect, especially given our climate where things can change quickly or overnight. I realize that a warm snap followed by cold weather will usually dictate that a run will be groomed, no one wants to ski on bulletproof. However I, along with many other skiers there would love it if you let a run, or even a lane on a run naturally bump up in the coming weeks.

Deception was rockin' at the beggining of the year, but we've noticed it hasn't been given a chance to bump up since.

Sure Showtime and Hollywood have moguls in them, but neither develop into a zipper line like many of us would love to see. The man made bumps below the trees were ok too, but come on, those are training wheels. (not complaining, everyone needs to start somewhere)

Last year PNS did a fantastic job in this department, even letting Center (a perfect bump slope) bump up on skiers left.

I've written about this before here (search for all my, and many others like me, reasons for this request), and written to PNS every year on the topic. You guys have responded better and better each year.

Hope you're having a great season, and I'll look to see you on the slopes.

Deception was super fun early in the season, it bumped up pretty well, and Hollywood was actually pretty fun too but hard to maintain a consistent line. There was talk too about letting Deception bump up again, and with more snowmaking in the plans for next week, I wouldn't be surprised if they let a run bump up again. If/when Tad notices this he can probably weigh in. He's a groomer/management, so he'd have better knowledge than I.

They've actually took a shot at making some there in years past, and even did a decent job on one set, but the fact remains that the slope is not steep enough there, thus your speed is slow, and they never get bigger. They were great for people who wanted to try their hand the the mechanics of mogul skiing in a beginner environment, which is great to allow people to do so, but unfortunately they are no comparison to a natrually formed line on a steeper pitch.

Couldn't agree more. We have been trying to let things get bumpy, but with our weather as cold as it has been and that little bit of baking during the day, they just turn into ice cubes, and at night it gets pretty scary. I think if we make snow next week... (wed.?) then i can see us maybe letting deception go, or I'll see if i can talk them into like half of center again, but sadly the "masses" or the squeaky wheels, want to see if all FLAT, which is pretty lame, so they send a hundred emails and voila, no bumps.
We'll do what we can.Tad

Is it possible to let the skiers right hand side bump up again on showtime? That was literally my favorite period of trail skiing I have ever had at perfect north, and was really bummed when I saw it groomed.

That was a really fun line over the past few weeks. 4-6 larger bumps in a good line at the top followed by a really fast zipper section all the way down to when you got out of the trees. Good stuff...

Now, I think the best bump line of the season so far was skier's middle right on Deception not long after they opened; fast zipper line top to bottom...

With this weird snow/rain stuff that has been happening it is hard to let them go because it is getting pretty warm in the day and cold at night so they turn to ice cubes, but we left the center of Deception this morning to try and let it bump up a bit. Hopefully it will and it'll be fun.

Deception is shaping up to be pretty fun I think. I skied it once tonight and with some more work it should be pretty nice.

Been lapping Deception alot over the past few days. Thanks for letting it get to such good condition. The bumps are skiing really well!

Please pass along the thanks of no fewer than 25 passholders of more than 10 years each for allowing this terrain to form to whomever needs to hear it.

Hopefully with the warmer temps you'll keep them around for a while, they'll soften up real nice in the daytime and could even have stood to be a little harder yesterday.

Sadly the might have gone away today. The snow this morning was so glazed over that I literally couldn't walk up the blue chair, so pretty much everything had to be groomed. Hopefully they found a way to keep them but i'm betting that they had to at the very least groom them and maybe just roll them, but that likely means they won't be very good any more. Due to safety reasons i would imagine it was either groom it or close it.

So I know the days are numbered, so any chance of letting Deception go? You guys did a great job getting everything back in order after all that rain and things were really nice yesterday.
