Places to get Blue Moon (beer) in Vancouver

Does anyone know where to get Blue Moon in Vancouver? I cant find it anywhere, if not is there some store that has a greater selection of beer than BC liquors.

Yah, it is american, it is most places in the states, and coors does make it.

Ok, I know canadians are proud of their beers, but look at it this way. The american population dwarfs the canadian population, we even have more people in california than in all of canada. So there must be more brewerys in the US, so there have to be at least some decent beers coming out of the states. This is one of them, better than any beer I have had in canada.

By the way, I have had hoegarden, it is good, but blue moon is a step above the rest, try it and you will see.

yeah, basically canadian pride in beer is completely unfounded.

our beer is half the price or better and since micro-brews beat anything thats not from belgium anyway, weve got plenty of those so... you lose.

oh and Canadian sucks. long live pbr... and huzzah to pyramid and portland brwery and such

In kits? Maybe at arbutus and broadway, since its the liquor store that sells the most in the province. Or maybe darby's 4th and mcdonald, lots of beer there. But kokanee is the real stuff.

Canadian beer is half the price or better????

Where in the US have you been buying beer?!?! It is way cheaper in Washington. Last time I was in Washington we picked up an 18 pack of COLD bottles for $13US. With an exchange rate of about 1.15 That's still only about $15CDN. I haven't checked the BC Liquor stores lately, but I'm sure and 18 pack of WARM bottles is upwards of 25 bucks.

I regularly choose to drink US beer, cause it's cheap and tastes like any other generic beer. The best was during the beer strike when we could get PBR here, that was rad...

So no one in vancouver has seen this beer? Is there anyway I can order it online or something. Also, if anyone knows any loopholes to get around this horrilbe pricing of beer here, post it.

Unfortunately, since the demise of the almighty BEER beer, there is no such loophole. Unless you can find a cheap way to brew your own; there are a few places that offer such facilities, I believe. They used to be dirt cheap.

lucky force 8 at the cold beer and wine is your cheap way to go and FAXE strong tall can is the cheapest way to go at the liqour store

I remember calculating what beer got you the most alcohol per $ spent, but that was a long time ago. Needless to say, I think colt 45 or something like that wins. It might have been Faxe.

They all taste like shit though. If you're gonna drink, drink something that tastes good.

If you like Blue Moon you'll probably like Stella Amber, I think they taste similar... but I haven't had Blue Moon since I was in the states 6 months ago or something.

No, it's known as Shitty Kitty.

And there's a good reason for that.

It's shitty.

Try the "KOLD" Its an albertain beer, cheepest beer in whistler... tastes like shit, but ... you gotta go with the cheapest eh!

drink warm kold. it almost tastes like beer that way. when kold is cold it tastes like shit. i kid u not

Get the Danish beer "FAXE" its availiable at the liquor store in amber, premium, and strong. Tall cans only, the strong is 8.5% alc/vol.

yeah, canadian beer sure is awesome! we love our canadian beer, its the best! lets all drink danish piss beer!

man you guys are silly. american beer = lyfe.

danish piss beer is better than canadian piss beer. and both are better than american piss beer

fuck that, American piss beer is rad. I'm going back to Florida on friday and I'll be laughing it up drinking $6.99 20 packs of bud...

Yah, seriously, all you canadians know that bud isnt bad, it is just as good as canadian, which by that way is owned by an american company. Plus we can buy beer so cheap it is almost sad buying beer here, but on the other hand I can actually buy it leagaly here....

According to BCL website, Faxe is 8% in a 500ml tall can for $2.29. Buying 6 of those would be 3000ml for $13.74 plus tax. That's 218ml of beer per dollar. That ain't half bad.

Meanwhile, Molson/Carling Black Label Supreme is 8% in a 355ml can, 6 packs are 2130ml for $7.75 + tax (fuckers raised the price by a quarter apparently). That equals 275ml of beer per dollar.

Personally I usually opt for 12 BLS for 15 bucks if I really want to get shittered on cheap beer. That stuff goes down like a brick and tastes like the beer Molson doesn't want to sully its already sullied name with. It's perfect for liver abuse.

I will however go the route of 8 FAXE tall cans next time I need to erase an evening of my life, as I have never tried it.

Thanks for the heads up.

I used to have a spreadsheet of all this bullshit that I did for no reason whatsoever.

BLS still wins over faxe as far as pure alcohol is concerned, at 22ml/$ to 18.3ml/$.

By comparison, Stella is 10.6ml/$, Bud is 11.0ml/$, Wildcat strong is 14.3ml/$ (which is pretty bad since it tastes like ass), And Pacific Western TNT Strong wins out over all of 'em at 22.8ml/$... if you can find that anywhere.

There's no point to any of these calculations, of course... I just really wish exams were over so I could go get drunk.

I recently had it at "The Keg", but i also have had it at other restaurants. It is an american (MillerCoors) product, but it is also made in Canada (MolsonCoors, Montreal). I have only found it in restaurants, but I think I did see it at Brewsters Pub liquor store (King George Hwy, Surrey) at one time (a side benefit of been attached to a pub?), but could not find it at BCLDB or on their website.

I did find a similar product at BCLDB called Original 16 Prairie White (under $2 for 473ml can). Not as good as Blue Moon (Belgium Moon?), but not bad as a replacement.
