Pizza?

Okay so here's the thing,

Pizza is obviously not acceptable right? I have a friend who thinks its completely acceptable to pizza before a jump. He says some pros do it too because they "won't be able to adjust for the jump in time" so I wanna show his ass up. Is it acceptable to pizza?

i'd say competent skiers are allowed 1 pizza per year. ive seen top pros do one once in a blue moon, for instance on an inrun that's rutted out with not much time to shave speed but honestly i dont think even then it's necessary. looks super gaper even if youre tanner hall doing it

i wouldn't be caught dead doing one but i guess i can concede that every now and then it's allowable. i would say youre more right than your friend in this argument though-- if you do it more than once a year you suck, and that's science!

pizzaing is more acceptable than caring this much about pizzaing is

false. every skier has to go through the transformation of pizza to french fries. Thats the barmitzvah of skiing, the right of passage. If you pizza in the park it only means you havent made that leap, especially in the park where the snow is usually some of the smoothest on the mountain

I really don't think it's an issue if you're doing it for practicality. I also think it's stupid that anyone actually gives a shit.

I mean if you care about your style or how your skiing appears at all then it definitely looks bad. Also probably not a good habit for your skiing overall.

tell your friend to take some harder carves going in and stop being a pussy

tell yourself to stop worrying about his skiing and focus on being better/more stylish if you're trying to prove a point

tell your mom i say hi

As I said, if you're doing it for practicality I don't think its an issue. It doesn't look bad if you're being efficient. There's a difference between that and doing it out of fear when you're first learning to ski.

Currently 50%/50% @ 80 votes. Probably the only interesting poll I've ever seen on Newschoolers.
