Pivot/Cast question

Saw something about this in a thread but I couldn’t find it.

ive got cast with pivot 15s on one setup, and a set of pivot 14s

could I get a second ski kit, and use my pivot 14 heels with the pivot 15 toes?

or is this sketchy??

Yes.

The only differences when comparing the different heels in the Pivot range are the graphics, the spring and din measurement scal. Other than that the brake and dildo assembly is the same across all models.

So a 15/18 Castified toe can be used with any 12 - 14 -15 -18 Pivot heel + a Second Ski Kit as long as the toe and heel can both be adjusted to the right DIN value for your weight / BSL.

I use my Castified 15 toes with both 14, 15 and 18 heels, and have yet to die.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but had a question on casts/pivot 14s as well.

If I've already got a pair of Pivot 14s mounted, can I remove the toe and then screw in the cast plate to the same holes along with a bit of binding glue?

I've done this many times with bindings. I don't think cast makes a system that works for the pivot 14 tho. If you mean 15 then you're good to go, just use plenty of glue for a good seal.
 
I've got the 14s mounted, but I have a 15 toe available to use. I was going to remove the 14 toe, put on the Cast plate and then use it with my spare 15 toe. Just wanted to make sure 14 and cast/15 holes lined up. Thanks for the help!
 
You can use any pivot heel but you need either 15s or 18s to run CAST. As homie said above, you can reuse your holes for the toes of the 14s and just get the proper toe.
