Looked for the Pivot rebuild thread/ YouTube video, but having some truble finding it................

Just wondering how to get the brake spring back in safely??.................

Thanks NS's!.................

Put the binding back together (everything but the half-moon steel plate) lift the brake up as high as it will go. Place spring with the two metal prongs down and the one rounded on up touching the bottom of the brake pad. Push it in with hands till snug... Get a big flathead screwdriver and hammer and go to town. (don't be too rough though)

yes, some like to leave the bottom metal plate off and do it where they snap that into place and the spring at the same time. I on the other hand put it in from the top b/c I find it much easier.

Right on, that's what I've been trying to do but I'm just having issues compressing the spring to slide under the brake plate.......................

I guess if that's the best way I'll just keep fudging with it!...............

Thanks again!!...................

Trust me just use a hammer and flathead screw driver, (even a chisel will work) and just pound it in there. After it gets lodged between the two brake arms your basically done and only need to tap it in the rest of the way.

LOL I for some reason thought he had seen it even though he said he didn't.... Yah just follow that video, the annoying part is I believe he doesn't actually show you how to do it just explains it.
