Pivot 18, too much?

So I was going for the 15 but my shop doesn’t have them in stock. I would go elsewhere but I have 20% off at this shop.

They have the 18 and 14 but really want the metal toe for cast in the future. My last mount the shop placed me right at 10. I don’t want to get something that is too much for me

Most people that ski p18s don’t run a din close to 18

Indeed, the minimum DIN is 8 on the 18 so if you ski at 10 you're good.

(Some people will tell you it's better to be in the middle of the range but that's pretty much some myth, nothing to worry about at 10.)

Dope for sure, that’s why I asked cause I read about the whole middle of din range thing

I mean, buying higher quality isn't ever a bad thing. The din range is 8 to 18, so I'd just run your dins at 11 and you should be golden

The higher din models have better dynamics even at lower din settings, thats why they cost more….

Idk how much you're getting 18s for with the 20% off code but Corbetts online ski shop (canada) had 15s that ended up being right around 300 with the exchange rate, no tax, free shipping. But supporting local is always always good too and as everyone has said you're golden with 18s.
